Lane Patterns

The Mini-Eliminator is proud to be the first megabuck tournament in Las Vegas to partner with USBC Sport Bowling. Our mission is to offer a variety of lane patterns throughout the week to allow everyone to find their comfort zone on the lanes.

Kegel, the leading lane maintenance company in the world, has created several different lane patterns within USBC Sport Bowling Specifications. Just click on the link below to learn the details of each pattern. Kegel has even provided the lane machine settings if you want to try and duplicate these conditions at your home bowling center.

For the six days of qualifying there will be 3 different patterns used (each pattern will be used twice.)  Everyone should be able to match up well with at least one of these patterns. Don’t be afraid the patterns will not be too difficult. We want you to be challenged but still bowl well. Just don’t expect your typical house shot when you get to Texas Station.

The Mini-Eliminator finals on Sunday morning will use a medium pattern. This will allow for a variety of styles. The name of this pattern is “Highway to Hell”. Don’t be scared of the name; it sounds a lot worse than it really is!

The Columbia 300 Shootout on Friday evening will use a medium pattern (called the Middle Road). The Etonic Match Play Sweeper on Thursday evening will also use a medium pattern (called the Beaten Path). Both of these patterns will be from the Challenge Series which tends to score higher than the Sport Patterns used for qualifying.

The Mini-Eliminator would like to thank Steve Wunderlich of USBC Sport Bowling and Chris Chartrand of Kegel for putting together the package of lane patterns for our summer event.

Some important facts that determine how the shot will play:

  • Lane Surface;               Brunswick ProAnvil (installed 2000)
  • Lane Machine;              Kegel Ion XL
  • Lane Oil;                      Kegel Infinity
  • Lane Cleaner;               Kegel Defense-C
